palata se nalazi u turskoj, u istanbulu na evropskoj strani bosfora. izgradnja plate je počela 1843 a završena je 1856 godine.
palata je sagrađena po želji sultana abdulmedžida 1. arhitektura palate je mješavina turske arhitekture i raznih stilova evropske arhitekture (rokoko, barok). palata ima 258 soba i 43 salona.
dolmabahče je trenutno pretvorena u muzej i može se posjetiti svim danima osim ponjedeljka. muzej je otvoren do 17.00 sati ali preporučujem vam da odete ranije u posjetu ako želite vidjeti sve djelove.
